Dear Hutchings Families,
We just concluded our April PTO Meeting. The PTO has a few exciting events planned to finish the year. One of the most important agenda items this evening was actually concerning next year. We are ready to shape our PTO for the 2023-24 school year. We need your help to do this.
Per our PTO’s bylaws, there are five board positions: President, Vice President, Treasurer, Recording Secretary and Communications Secretary. Everyone in the Hutchings community has the right to nominate for these PTO Board positions. You also have the right to self-nominate for positions.
I am attaching a Google Form for Board nominations here: [Hutchings PTO: Board Nominations for 2023-24]. It is open from now until May 3. These nominations will come directly to me, and I’ll share the nominations with the PTO Board. The PTO Board has also created a paper Nomination Form should you prefer that method to this Google Form. The paper Nomination Form will come home shortly and can be returned to the main office. You do NOT need to nominate using both methods.
On May 3, our current PTO Board Members will create the Official Ballot for our elections based on all of these Nomination Forms. The Official Ballot will be available for review, both on our school website and our PTO social media accounts. On May 10, we have our final scheduled PTO Meeting for the school year. At the meeting, we will hold our elections for the PTO Board.
My hope is that everything in the Nomination Form makes sense, but please do not hesitate to contact me if you have any issues or questions.
Finally, we are nearing the conclusion of my first year here at Hutchings. I have loved making connections and forming partnerships with you. I know you have strengths, talents, and experiences to contribute to our kids and community. I hope you consider this opportunity for yourself, or for someone you know who would do great things for Hutchings. We need you!
