Dear Northwest Families,
We’ve wrapped up our third week of school, and it’s been wonderful to see our students settling into routines and classrooms full of learning and energy. Thank you for all you’re doing at home to support a smooth start—it truly makes a difference.
Bathroom Expectations
One area where we need some extra help is in the bathrooms. We’ve had too many sinks broken and messes made. Please take a moment to remind your child about treating our school with care and using the bathroom responsibly. Small reminders at home really do carry over here at school.
Drop-Off and Pick-Up
I also want to thank you for your patience and kindness during drop-off and pick-up. I know it can be busy, but when everyone stays patient and courteous, it keeps things safe and sets a great example for our kids.
New ELA Curriculum
We are excited to launch Amplify Core Knowledge Language Arts (CKLA), a research-based program that helps students build strong reading, writing, listening, and speaking skills. This letter shares details about why the district chose this new program, and what you can expect as it is implemented this year: http://bit.ly/4p7lGtP
Your partnership means so much as we continue building a strong, caring community at Northwest. Together, we’ll make this a fantastic year for our students!
Yours in education,
Craig Munro
