Dear Northwest Families,
The first day of school is right around the corner! At Northwest, we have a special tradition of rolling out the red carpet to welcome our students back. Classes will walk the red carpet together and be greeted with cheers and applause as they enter for the first of many great days ahead.
If you are driving your student:
- You may still use our Kiss-n-Go lane if you’re dropping off and leaving.
- If you plan to stay, please park in the First United Methodist Church lot or along Bower Street or nearby side streets. Our lot fills quickly.
For all students—whether arriving by car, bus, or on foot:
- Students will gather in their designated area (see attached map).
- Teachers will lead their classes down the red carpet.
- It’s going to be a great day!
If your child is riding the bus but you plan to meet them at school, please wait under the large pine and maple trees near the parking lot. This will help us keep the sidewalk clear, especially with the playground fence in place this year.
We can’t wait to kick off another exciting and safe school year together!
Yours in education,
Craig Munro
Principal
