Northwest News 1/31/2025

Dear Northwest Families,

As we move into February, we are reminded of the importance of celebration—not just for big events but for the people who make a difference in our school every single day. Next week is National School Counseling Week, and we are thrilled to recognize Mrs. Kim Martin, our dedicated school counselor. Mrs. Martin works tirelessly to support the wellness of our students and our families. Whether she’s guiding students through challenges, supporting families by eliminating barriers to learning, or advocating for kids on district committees, she plays a vital role in shaping the positive culture at Northwest. We invite you to join us in celebrating her—whether it’s with a kind note, a high five, or a simple “thank you” for all she does!

We also want to take a moment to celebrate someone else who takes care of us in so many ways—our custodian, Terrie Joseph! This week marks her birthday, and while we certainly want to wish her a happy one, we also want to recognize the impact she has on our school community. Terrie ensures our building is clean, safe, and welcoming each and every day. Her hard work, kindness, and attention to detail do not go unnoticed, and we are grateful for everything she does to keep Northwest running smoothly.

Celebrations like these remind us to pause and appreciate the people who make our school special. If you see Mrs. Martin or Terri next week, please join us in showing them just how much they mean to Northwest!

Thank you for being part of our wonderful school community.

Yours in education,

Craig Munro

Principal
