Dear Northwest Families,   Here comes the cold weather!  Please remember to send warm clothes with your student(s) each day: hats, gloves, and scarves. We go outside as long as it is not raining and the temperature is above 10 degrees with the wind chill (I typically rely on the weather.com app). Please also consider sending in extra clothes (especially pants and socks) for your child to keep in t ... more»

This is going to go toward purchasing a rock wall for our gym and book vending machine, among some other surprises! THANK YO ... more»

Dear Northwest Families,   Everyday I am reminded about the wonderful students we have at Northwest. Outside of my office, our Soaring Eagle tree is overflowing - which means Northwest students have been exhibiting safe, responsible, respectful, and kind behavior! It makes me so proud. At this point in the school year, however, everyone is getting a little tired. Please help us continue our succ ... more»

Dear Northwest Families,   The 4th, and final, quarter is upon us! We have a lot of engaging and educational experiences planned for our students: field trips, outdoor activities, music performances, and of course, field day! The 4th quarter also means we need to start planning for M-STEP. M-STEP is the state-mandated assessment we administer to 3rd through 5th graders each year.  If you have stud ... more»

Dear Northwest Families,   Spring is almost here!!  While the warmer weather is amazing, it will undoubtedly bring more mud.  Please consider sending extra clothes with your student in case of a “mud emergency.”  We do have some extra clothes in the office, but students are sometimes more comfortable in their own clothes.     I just wanted to take a moment and thank our fantastic PTO.  We have an ... more»

When you visit, our office staff will be asking you for the reason for your visit. Please know that these changes are not intended to be disrespectful or inconvenient - it is often difficult to properly ide ... more»
