Dear Northwest Families,
As we move through the middle of the third quarter, this time of year often feels steady and routine - and that’s a good thing. Classrooms across Northwest are focused on learning, practicing skills, and building consistency. While there may not be major events or announcements right now, a great deal of important work is happening every day.
Mid-year assessments have given our teachers helpful insight into student progress, and they are using that information to adjust instruction, provide additional support, and extend learning where students are ready. This steady, behind-the-scenes work is what helps students continue to grow as we head toward spring.
We are also taking time to reteach and reinforce our CARE expectations - being Compassionate, Accountable, Respectful, and Engaged. This helps ensure students feel safe, supported, and ready to learn as the year continues.
As always, we appreciate the partnership we share with families. Your support at home - whether it’s encouraging reading, talking about the school day, or helping establish consistent routines - makes a real difference. Thank you for being part of our Northwest community and for the continued trust you place in our staff.
If you have any questions or need support, please don’t hesitate to reach out. We look forward to finishing the third quarter strong together.
Yours in education,
Craig Munro
Principal
