Northwest News 2/2/2024

Dear Northwest families,

I hope this email finds you well and that the new year has continued positively for you and your family. As we dive into the month of February, I wanted to take a moment to share some important updates and reminders regarding upcoming events and initiatives here at Northwest:

“Talonhog” Day: We brought the concept of “Punxsutawney Phil” and the Pennsylvania tradition of groundhogs day to Northwest! Our very own ground”dog,” Talon, emerged and did NOT see his shadow! It’s going to be an erly spring!

Extra Clothes: Please consider sending a set of extra clothes to be kept in your student’s locker. The wet weather has brought a lot of mud out on the playground. While we keep our office stocked with extra clothes, we have lately been running out of them.  Even if your child is in the upper grades, it may be less awkward to be able to change into something of their own.

Safety Reminders: As we navigate through the winter season, I want to remind everyone to prioritize safety, especially during drop-off and pick-up times. Please adhere to all traffic and parking regulations, and be cautious of icy conditions. The safety of our students and families is paramount, and your cooperation is greatly appreciated.

Yours in education,

Craig Munro

Principal
