Dear Northwest Families,
As the end of the school year approaches, we have been enjoying some of our favorite springtime activities! Two of our most favorite events are coming up:
FIELD DAY
Field Day is Monday, May 23rd (rain day is Tuesday 5/24)! Our 3rd-5th grade students will participate in the morning, and our BK-2 students will participate in the afternoon. Please set us all up for success by (a) wearing tennis shoes, (b) bringing a water bottle, (c) applying sunscreen at home (if necessary), and (d) bringing a towel (we do have some water games!).
Some notes for our pre-approved volunteers:
AM volunteers (grades 3-5), please be at school by 9:00, stations begin at 9:15 (end at 11:30).
PM volunteers (grades BK-2), please be at school by 12:30, stations begin at 12:45 (end at 3:15).
Enter the building vestibule (Door D2), grab your name tag, sign-in, and then head to the gym to sign up for a station.
5TH GRADE CELEBRATION
This afternoon celebration is open to all 5th grade students and their families. It starts at 2:00 with a ceremony in the gym - and usually lasts about 45 minutes. Following the ceremony, 5th grade students walk the halls for a Northwest “clapout,” and then move to the cafeteria for yearbook signing and final goodbyes. Please note: 5th grade students do not need to bring or buy lunch on June 1st - a special lunch will be provided!
Yours in Education,
