Northwest News 4/21/23

Dear Northwest Families,

I am, yet again, blown away by the generosity of our Northwest community! Last Friday we hosted a movie night to raise money for our Junior and Senior Survivors and their Howell Hownds cause. I am happy to report that we earned over $820 for the district dogs! Once they are officially trained, Talon and the other dogs will be able to support so many staff and students.

Speaking of Talon, he will be leaving us very soon for his formal training. While we don’t have an exact date or duration, I am confident we will see him all dressed up with us on the red carpet in the fall! We are all ready for him to be able to run around with the students, support learning in the classrooms, and cuddle with kids.

A big thank you to Tanger Outlets and Todd’s Services! In the spirit of giving back to the community, they generously donated four raised flower beds to Northwest and the soil to fill them. The students are eager to help plant seeds and maintain the beds!

Lastly, I would be remiss if I failed to mention that Wednesday,  April 26th, is Administrative Professionals Day!  Our team comprised of Mrs. Klein, Mrs. Kraft, and Mrs. Frimodig is amazing!  Their hard work, dedication, and care for students, staff, and parents stands alone in comparisons to other teams.  If you get a chance, please drop them a kind email, smile, or word on their special day.

Thank you for your continued support!!

Go Eagles!

Yours in Education,

Craig Munro
