Northwest News 10/7/2022

Dear Northwest Families,

This school year continues to fly by as we close out the first quarter. I first need to say “THANK YOU!” to our wonderful PTO, for their hard work on the Color Run, and to our families for their unprecedented generosity! We raised over $40,000! This is going to go toward purchasing a rock wall for our gym and book vending machine, among some other surprises! THANK YOU PTO, students, teachers, and families!

BOOK FAIR

If you have ever wanted to volunteer at a book fair, here is your opportunity!  Mrs. Frimodig is looking to have some parent/guardian help during this year’s book fair.  If you are interested, please sign up using THIS LINK

STUDENT SUPPORTS

Mrs. Martin and Mrs. Rowden have started a lunch program called, “The Nest.”  This is time for students to get caught up on work, talk through behaviors/issues, or talk with a friendly adult. This is an awesome time to connect with students during a non-academic time. Thank you, Kim and Amy!

HALLOWEEN COSTUMES

Please remember as you are buying costumes, we cannot have any "scary" costumes.  If the costume character has been (or could be) used in a scary movie, then the costume is too scary.

NEW MOTTO FOR BEHAVIOR

While it is still in its infancy, we are going to be updating out “S2R” (Safe, Responsible, Respectful). We are going to be moving towards “S.O.A.R.”!

  • Stay Safe
  • Offer Kindness
  • Act Responsibly
  • Respond Respectfully

We look forward to using our new motto!

“Eagles don’t just fly, we SOAR!”

Yours in Education,

Craig Munro

Principal
