Dear Northwest Families,
Halloween is next week! We will be holding a Halloween Parade for our teachers and students on Friday, October 29th at 2:00 - parents are invited to join us outside along Bower Street. If the weather is not suitable for an outdoor parade, we will have only the students parade indoors and the teachers will be sharing pictures with families. We love seeing all of the students in their costumes, but please remember to avoid sending/wearing things that could be violent or scary to our younger students. With that said, we are allowing Halloween masks again this year.
Great things have been happening at Northwest! The Student Council has been busy planning some engaging activities for our students and teachers. Mrs. Vlahos has been displaying our creative student artwork in the hallways. Students have been playing outside and enjoying the beautiful fall weather. Also, LOC Student Run Credit Union has been bustling with activity every other Friday.
On October 29th, we will be hosting the Jumpin’ All-stars during each grade level’s specials time! Students will watch some of the nation’s best jump ropers perform various skills and maneuvers. Student volunteers will have the opportunity to participate and try some of the (safe) stunts themselves! Please remind your student to wear the proper PE shoes on this day. Until then, Mr. Wildman will be jump roping with his classes and getting them ready for the experience! If you have any questions regarding the assembly, please reach out to Mr. Wildman at [email protected].
Yours in Education,
Craig Munro
