Dear Northwest Families,
This will probably come as no surprise, but COVID is starting to really impact our building. Please continue to keep your child home if they are showing any sign of illness - even a runny nose - until they are symptom-free for 24 hours.
I would like to ease confusion by sharing some basic information about our communication process.
When we are informed of a positive COVID-19 test for a student or staff member, we immediately begin to contact trace. This means we develop a list of people who are considered a “close contact.”.
Once that list is generated, I will contact everyone on that list through our School Messenger system. In the message you will be informed that your student must be quarantined, but most of the information you will need and want will come from the Livingston County Health Department (LCHD) within 24 hours (or Monday, if it is a Friday quarantine).
You will receive your official return date from the LCHD. You will also be informed what quarantine programs your child is eligible for.
If you are looking for more information beyond this, or still have questions, check out these two helpful links:

The Livingston County Health Department has included all of this information and more in a Parent Packet.
Yours in Education,
Craig Munro
